Accounting connections that say when they need you
- A failed Bill is now visible. If pushing a confirmed document to Xero, QuickBooks or MYOB failed, the reason only went to the audit log. The document now says what happened, and Settings shows Reconnect needed, with a Reconnect button, when the provider stops accepting the saved sign-in.
- Fewer reconnects for the wrong reason. A refused access token is refreshed and the push tried once more. A network or server error while refreshing is retried once and reported as temporary, not as a broken connection.
- Disconnecting revokes access. Xero and QuickBooks are asked to revoke Linekeeper's access, so it also disappears from their connected apps. MYOB offers no way to do this.
- QuickBooks details. Sign-in endpoints come from Intuit's discovery document. Every API call names minor version 75. Errors carry Intuit's
intuit_tid, the reference its support asks for. Settings shows the connected company's name. A sandbox switch,QUICKBOOKS_ENVIRONMENT=sandbox, lets Development keys be tested against a sandbox company. - New:
npm run test:accounting, 35 checks against a fake Intuit, Xero and MYOB, now part ofnpm test. - Fixed: the app's script stopped loading in 0.34.0. A copy edit put an apostrophe inside a quoted string in the app's code, so the app page failed before it started. Every script the site ships is now syntax-checked at the start of
npm test.
